{"id":3793,"date":"2018-07-04T23:02:29","date_gmt":"2018-07-05T02:02:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tangopardo.com.ar\/2cf7\/?p=3793"},"modified":"2020-01-13T15:29:51","modified_gmt":"2020-01-13T18:29:51","slug":"it-gets-better","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tangopardo.com.ar\/2cf7\/2018\/07\/04\/it-gets-better","title":{"rendered":"It gets better"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I spent most of the last weekend studying and a bit sick.<\/p>\n<p>When not reading for the Uni I binge watched a lot of talks from previous editions of the <a href=\"https:\/\/cppcon.org\/\">CppCon<\/a>, because that&#8217;s obviously what only a sick person would do.<\/p>\n<p>And after not being on that scene for quite a while I found that, like for some wines, the time made it nicer.<\/p>\n<p>The use of auto variables when iterating containers, lambdas, parallelization and inclusion of atomic operations (albeit I believe they are insufficiently documented and will bite a lot of people) are just some of the things that surprised me in a good way. There&#8217;s a host of cool stuff under <em>&lt;algorithm&gt;<\/em> and the new optimizations (like the ones carried for <em> constexpr <\/em>) are incredible.<\/p>\n<p>Coincidentally, <a href=\"https:\/\/ds9a.nl\/articles\/posts\/c++-1\/\">Bert Hubert started a series of posts with the good parts of C++<\/a> that actually makes me want to code something in it again.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I spent most of the last weekend studying and a bit sick.
